The personal page shows details for each person in the database. There are five sections:

1. The first section shows details for the person named and their spouse or spouses. You can link to the personal page of a spouse or to a parent by clicking their name.
2. The second section shows children of each family unit. You can link to the personal page of a child by clicking the childs name.
3. The third section shows events and facts for this person.
4. The fourth section shows a linkable table of parents and grand-parents.
5. The last section shows a map of events and their locations on a Google map. This is displayed by clicking the Show Map button. This will only be enabled if there are geolocated places in the database.

Event Map

Each event that has valid geo coding is marked on the map. Markers are clustered so that clicking on a cluster will zoom in and show the markets. Hovering over a marker shows the persons name, event date and event place.

Help with using the tree display page

There are three display modes depending on the content you want to display

• Bowtie: this will show both the ancestors and descendants of the individual chosen
• Ancestors: shows the ancestors only
• Descendants: shows the descendants only

You can also display the tree top down, bottom up, left to right or right left

Clicking the bulls-eye icon will recenter the map on the key individual

The tree display can be panned by using the mouse and zoomed in or out using the wheel

Clicking on an individual displays a box with more details of the individual including a portrait if available

There are three action icons at the top followed by the X icon to close

• Clicking the tree icon sets this individual as the key for the display
• Clicking this icon goes to the personal page for this individual. The tree display is closed.
• If this individual appears on the chart in more than one place (for example in a multiple marriage), clicking this icon will center the display on the next occurrence of that person.

Multiple marriages

Multiple marriages and the associated descendants are shown by repeating the individual in a separate family unit. The line joining this individual to a parent is shown dotted.
